Our Ministries



Led by Deacon John Hardemon. We pass out food every Friday. Registration is the first Friday of every month, although, you can still get food if you have not registered for the month. All you need is some form of identification. Registration starts at 11:30am. We pass out numbers at 12:30pm. Food is passed out at 1:00pm.


JAM is held every Wednesday during the school year. A meal is provided for the children starting at 6:00PM.

 


Led by Sis Venita Mitchell. The Breakfast Club Sisterhood is Bible based, Christ centered and Holy Spirit Led. The Sisterhood is an opportunity for Sisters in Christ to come together for fun, fellowship, sharing and studying God’s word in different and unique ways. The scripture for TBC is Romans 15:13, Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. The Sisterhood of women are connected and centered on Christ, Loving towards others, Unconditionally serving others, and realizing we are Blessed by God beyond measure. CENTERED (on Christ) and CONNECTED always. LOVING, Lifelong commitment to Love others. UNCONDITIONALLY, Serving others. BLESSED (BEYOND measure). TBC meets once a month, the 4th Saturday from 9-10:30am, in the Fellowship Hall.


Led by Rev. Brandon Parrish, The Mount Zion Music Ministry is comprised of a group of singers who set the stage for worship each Sunday. Our Music Ministry consists of the Mass Choir, Praise Team, Women’s Chorus, and Men’s Chorus. Incorporating a variety of hymns, spirituals, traditional and contemporary music, the music ministry sets an atmosphere for true and pure worship. Rehearsals are held Thursdays at 7:00pm in the church sanctuary.

The Brotherhood Union of Mount Zion First Baptist Church serves to support the ministry of the Church by providing an environment for spiritual growth and leadership development of our laity. They meet every Sunday morning at 8:00am which is followed by a breakfast.


Led by Sis Roye Patton.
Our Super Church Ministry focuses on presenting the gospel to children in the community, ages five to twelve on a level they can comprehend through training them in worship and engaging them in fellowship. The philosophy of Super Church is based on the experience of Jesus in Luke 2: 45-52 and Luke 18: 16-17. They meet Sundays during our morning worship service in the Chapel.

The mission of the Ministers, Deacons, and Trustees Wives Council is to support the efforts of the Ministries of the church and to minister to the community, new members and others as the need arises.


Led by Deacon General Thomas.
The mission of the transportation ministry is to involve members in carrying out the great commission of the Church and assist in Christian Education, growth and discipleship by providing adequate and consistent transportation for Sunday School, Church, Vacation Bible School and other Church related activities deemed necessary by the Pastor.

A kid is a citizen of the world , wherever he or she is from around the world. We see a new generation from those kids needless and need in order to be useful for the Nation and World.
